Bring some artistic flair to your mug collection in this ceramic painting class in Portland. In this relaxing and fun workshop, you will learn the basics of painting with ceramic underglazes, then design and paint your own pre-made mug!

The mugs provided are handmade by the instructor, using their signature speckled clay, giving your final paintings an extra special touch.

This is a beginner-friendly workshop that doesn't require previous ceramics experience! Simply come ready to learn and create, and you'll leave with a beautiful handmade item.

At the start of the workshop, your instructor will share some examples of hand-painted pottery and the underglaze colors that are available to use. Paper and pencils will be provided to brainstorm your ideas.Your instructor will provide guidance and suggestions on how to design an image that will translate well onto clay and give tips on using underglazes.

This craft idea is a fantastic way to challenge your brain, learn new crafting techniques, and create a functional piece of art! From personalizing your design to painting your mug, you'll find this process relaxing and rewarding from start to finish.

After the workshop, your instructor will glaze and fire the mugs, and they will be available for pickup at a later date.
